The Good The Denon AVR-S730H is among the least expensive receivers with this level of features, including 4K/HDR compatibility, multiroom music, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Sound quality is very good with both music and movies, regardless of the speakers we used. Auto calibration worked well.

The Bad Competitors such as the Sony STR-DN1080 sound even better. The HEOS music system isn't as capable or easy to use as Sonos, Google Cast or Yamaha's MusicCast.

I purchased this AV receiver hoping that I will be able to hear all my media layers in a second location( Zone2). This however could not be done for several reason. The so called zone can not be used due to the fact that can't deliver Audio which is fed thru HDMI, optic or digital Cable. The receiver has only Audio Input receptacle for this purpose. Also the Zone Volume is set at 70 which makes it useless. So don't plan to get full benefit from " Zone2".
